Hampstead Heath

A partial solar eclipse will be visible above London between 6pm and 8pm on August 12. Light levels will be similar to dusk and temperatures will dip. Visitors and swimmers are reminded not to look directly at the Sun without certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses. Swimming goggles do not protect eyes from solar damage. Normal visibility will remain; no strange water currents or sudden darkness expected.
