A two-part cultural somatic practice inviting participants to experience carnival through movement, rhythm and embodied knowledge. Rooted in African and African diasporic movement traditions, the workshop uses moving meditation, stillness, dance and collective reflection to explore the symbolic and literal role of the feet in carnival. Expect to walk, chip, skank, jump up, whine and dance. Open to all levels.
